Frequently Asked Questions

Nutrient/vitamin IV therapy is a safe and effective way to deliver essential vitamins and nutrients directly to the blood stream to help the body perform optimally. This method allows us to get you feeling your best more efficiently than if you were to supplement with oral vitamins.

For most people, receiving an IV is a very comfortable experience. The most common concern is mild discomfort/tenderness or bruising at the IV site. It is possible to experience headache, nausea, dizziness, or other side effects during the infusion, but these reactions are uncommon. Major side effects from IV therapy are extremely rare, but do include allergic reaction, blood pressure elevation.

You will get a Good Faith Exam via a telehealth visit from our full time Medical Director or contracted Licensed Independent Practitioner (plus any time there is a change in your medical condition or daily medications/supplements) and you will be monitored by our expert on site RN during your entire infusion to ensure that all risks are minimized.

Our RNs all have previous nursing experience and receive comprehensive training with our Director of Nursing and Medical Director to ensure they are thoroughly prepared to optimize your safety in the extremely unlikely event of any major side effects.

From the time your nurse arrives, your appointment is typically completed within an hour, with the exception of NAD+ infusions. If it is your first infusion, you will also complete a Good Faith Exam which includes a telehealth visit with our Medical Director.
IV therapy is generally safe and could potentially be given daily, however clients typically don’t need them that often and can choose weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or even just symptomatically. We can customize the therapy to meet your unique needs.
Insurance companies do not cover nutritional or hydration therapy outside of hospital emergency care. We accept all major credit cards and debit cards for payment as well as FSA and HSA cards.

At The Good Life IV we understand that sometimes life gets busy and keeping appointments can be difficult at times. To make sure that we can provide the best possible accommodation for all our clients we ask for 24-hour notice for any cancellations.

Cancellation Fees
Appointments can be canceled up to 24 hours before start time without a penalty fee, and any credits you used to book the appointment will be automatically returned to your account.

For IV therapy and injections we charge a $50 per person cancellation fee if canceled less than 24 hours of your scheduled appointment.

No Show Policy
If the mobile IV nurse arrives at the booked location and the client is not at the location at the allotted appointment time and no cancellation was made the credit card on file will be charged a $50 no show fee.

Each person is unique and has different health and hydration statuses. However, most individuals feel the effects right away following their first IV.
Pain is different for everyone. We use the smallest needle possible to achieve optimal delivery while keeping the procedure as painless as possible.

IV therapy is typically safe for most people; however, it is contraindicated in people with certain health issues. You will meet with our telehealth provider to go over your history and vital signs to make sure that IV therapy is right for you.

IV therapy is a minimally invasive procedure, therefore there are no restrictions before or after the procedure. We do recommend hydrating and maintaining a healthy diet post IV to ensure the best quality results.
Yes, we do our best to accommodate same day appointments. Request an appointment on the day and time of your choice, and one of our trained staff will confirm the details.
Upon completion of IV therapy, the small catheter that was used to deliver fluid into the vein will be removed. It is usual for a small amount of blood to be present after removal. Direct pressure will be applied to the site to minimize bleeding, and gauze and a bandage will then remain.
  • Leave the bandage in place for 30 minutes.
  • It is normal to experience some tenderness at the insertion site.
  • Check the site for bruising and swelling.
  • If bruising or swelling occurs, an ice or cold pack can be placed on the area for 10-20 minutes at a time. Make sure that the skin is protected with a thin cloth barrier.
  • Daily activities, including bathing and showering, may resume after IV therapy.
  • Red streaks in the skin near the insertion site
  • Fluid, blood, or pus leaking from the IV site.
  • Swelling, pain, and/or redness at the IV that does not improve or gets worse.
  • New onset fever of 100.4º (38º C) or higher unless otherwise directed by the provider.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.

Yes, we accept HSA (Health Savings Accounts) and FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts) cards that are optimized for online payments! The card must have a 16 digit card number, an expiry date, and a security code to be entered at checkout.
